Deregistering Your Phone Number from iMessage

If you are transferring your phone number to Mangomint, you will need to deregister your number from iMessage if your previous phone was an iPhone.

We recommend deregistering before your confirmed transfer date, but you can still deregister after your transfer date if needed.

To deregister your phone number from iMessage before your confirmed transfer date:

1. Go to https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/.

2. Scroll down to the No longer have your iPhone? section.

3. Follow the provided steps to deregister your number.

Once your number is deregistered, you can receive texts from iOS devices.

To confirm your number was successfully deregistered, you can begin sending a text to your number from an iOS device.

• If your number is green and the text input field says Text Message SMS, your number was successfully deregistered.

• If your number is blue and the text input field says iMessage, your number is still registered with iMessage. Try repeating the steps in this article to deregister your number.

If you did not deregister your phone number from iMessage before your confirmed transfer date, you can still deregister it after your transfer date.

1. Make sure your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi.

2. Go to Settings > Apps > Messages and turn iMessage off.

3. Go to Settings > Apps > FaceTime and turn FaceTime off.

4. Repeat these steps on any other iOS device that used your number, including iPads.

Once your number is deregistered, you can receive texts from iOS devices.
