Connecting a Card Reader Directly to Your iPhone or iPad

You can pair your Mangomint Pay card reader directly to your iPhone or iPad. This allows clients to view their total, add a tip, pay, sign, and choose a receipt using your iPhone or iPad. This is helpful for:

  • Booth renters or service providers who handle their own payments at the business or on the go

  • Businesses that use one iPad to view the calendar and check out clients

You will need an iPhone or iPad and a Bluetooth card reader. Card readers can be ordered from the Mangomint Store.

Connecting your card reader to your iPhone or iPad

Open the Mangomint app on your device. Open the menu and tap Card Readers. The Card Readers menu option only displays if you have an active Mangomint Pay account.

Tap Connect a card reader.

Turn on the card reader and make sure it's charged. Place the card reader in close proximity to your device and tap Continue.

Tap Continue. If Bluetooth is not turned on, you are prompted to turn it on. The app will then search for available card readers.

Once you see your card reader in the list, tap Connect. If you see multiple card readers, select the one that matches your card reader's serial number. The serial number is printed on the back of the card reader.

If your card reader needs a firmware update, the app will automatically update the firmware for you.

If the card reader connection was successful, you will see the message shown below. Tap Okay. You are now ready to use your card reader to accept payments.
