Update an Existing Group Booking

Once a group booking is created from the calendar or online booking, you can:

  • Reschedule the group

  • Add an appointment to the group

  • Remove an appointment from the group

  • Change the primary contact for the group

  • Update individual appointments in the group

Rescheduling a group

To reschedule an existing group booking, you can either drag and drop the group on the calendar, or select Reschedule from the "..." menu for the group.

When rescheduling, you can enable the Send notifications to clients toggle to notify each client of the new appointment date and time.

Adding an appointment to a group

To add an appointment to an existing group booking, you can either:

  • Select Add Appointment to add a new or existing appointment.

  • Select an existing appointment on the calendar and select Add to Group from the "..." menu.

The client who was added will receive an email notification that they were added to a group organized by the primary contact.

Removing an appointment from a group

Removing an appointment from an existing group booking can be helpful if one of the clients would like to reschedule their individual appointment for another day.

Removing an appointment from an existing group booking is not required to check out that appointment individually. Learn how you can check out appointments individually without removing them from the group.

To remove an appointment from an existing group booking, you can either:

  • Select Remove from Group from the group appointment details.

  • Select Remove from Group from the "..." menu for the individual appointment.

Removing an appointment from an existing group booking will not cancel or delete the appointment. Learn how you can cancel or delete an appointment once it is removed from a group.

Changing the primary contact for a group

To change the primary contact for an existing group booking, select the group on the calendar.

Select Make Primary Contact next to the new primary contact.

Updating individual appointments in a group

To update individual appointments in an existing group booking, select the group on the calendar.

Select the appointment to update and use the pencil icon to make changes.

  • You cannot change the date or location of individual appointments.

  • If you change the appointment time, the appointment will not be removed from the group. Changing the appointment time can be helpful if the client is running late and needs to begin their appointment later than the rest of the group.

If the appointment time or services are changed, you can enable the Send notification to client toggle to notify the client of the changes.

Resending client notifications for a group booking

If you need to resend client notifications after updating an existing group booking, you can:

  • Select Resend Notifications from the "..." menu for the entire group to resend notifications to everyone in the group.

  • Select Resend Notifications from the "..." menu for an individual appointment to resend notifications only to that client.
