How do I customize my digital gift card artwork?

To select a gift card design that will display online and be included in the email for the digital gift card, open the Gift Cards app and select Settings > Artwork. You can also upload your own gift card design.

Can I automatically generate gift card numbers when selling gift cards?

You can specify whether the system should automatically generate a 6-digit gift card number when selling gift cards by opening the Gift Cards app and selecting Settings > Preferences.

How do I send a digital copy of a gift card?

To send a digital gift card, open the Gift Cards app and select the gift card to send.

Select Send Digital Gift Card from the "..." menu.

How can I refund a gift card purchase?

To refund a gift card purchase, you will need to refund the payment to the client and set the gift card balance to $0.

To refund the payment to the client, locate the closed sale where the gift card was purchased.

  • For gift cards purchased with a credit card, you will need to complete a refund.

  • For gift cards purchased with cash or any other payment method, you will need to reverse the payment and then refund the client separately.

After refunding the payment to the client, open the Gift Cards app and select the gift card.

Select the pencil icon and set the gift card balance to $0. Add any relevant notes and select Save Changes.

How can I track gift card usage and gift card sales?

The Gift Card reports in the Reports app allow you to track gift card usage, balances, and sales. The quantities and sales totals of gift cards can be viewed by month or a custom time period.

You can also track and manage gift cards in the Gift Cards app, including editing and deleting gift cards. Gift cards can also be found in the Wallet tab in the client details.

Can I set up an automated internal notification when a gift card is purchased online?

You can add an automated message that is sent to a specific internal email address every time a gift card is sold online. This message will inform you if the purchasing client's billing address cannot be verified, which may indicate increased fraud risk.

You can add this automated message by opening the Settings app and selecting Automated Messages > Gift Cards.
