FAQ: Refunds & Returns

To complete a product exchange, return the original product, then complete a new sale for the new product.

To refund an account balance deposit or gift card purchase, complete a refund by using the Refund line items option. This option allows you to refund the payment to the client and adjust the client’s account balance or gift card balance.

Line items on a sale cannot be edited if they were previously refunded. To make changes, you will need to fully refund the item and either add a new item to the existing sale or create a new sale.
