Deregistering Your Phone Number from iMessage

After transferring your phone number to Mangomint, you will need to deregister your phone number from iMessage if your previous phone was an iPhone.

Important

You will not be able to receive text messages through Mangomint from iOS devices until you deregister your phone number from iMessage.

To deregister your phone number from iMessage, go to https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/.

Scroll down to the No longer have your iPhone? section and follow the provided steps to deregister your phone number from iMessage.

The deregistration process involves sending a confirmation code to your previous iPhone. To ensure you receive the code, make sure your previous iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi.

Once your phone number is deregistered, you can receive text messages through Mangomint from iOS devices.

To confirm your phone number was successfully deregistered, you can begin sending a text message to your phone number from an iOS device.

  • If your phone number is green and the text input field says Text Message SMS, your phone number was successfully deregistered.

  • If your phone number is blue and the text input field says iMessage, your phone number is still registered with iMessage. You can try repeating the steps in this article to deregister your phone number, or reach out to chat support for assistance.
