Highlights
Emily Holzer is a Content Marketing Manager at Mangomint.
She is also a contributor at The Salon Business and Medium.
Emily leverages a background in marketing, research, and information sharing to support salon and spa owners with guides and resources.
Experience
Emily first discovered a passion for helping small businesses thrive in the agency setting. She worked directly with more than 150 small businesses across the country — improving their website SEO and directory listing optimization.
While connecting with different industries, she maintained a particular admiration and interest in beauty and wellness professions.
Meanwhile, her interest in sustainability and equality topics for salons and spas started over twenty years ago, alongside her commitment to hair donation.
Emily transitioned to Mangomint to combine her passion for small business support with her love of the industry it serves. She strives to empower salon and spa business owners with how-to guides and other resources — offering them the knowledge they may need to make informed decisions that better their businesses.
In her content work, Emily loves connecting with customers, discovering industry trends, researching new topics, and liberally using em dashes. When she is not writing, you can find her playing chess, spending time with family, or tending to her houseplants.
Education
Emily has a master’s degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Language, Writing, and Rhetoric from North Carolina State University.
