How Vanity Projects simplified their detailed booking process with Mangomint
Vanity Projects built a reputation on precision and craft, but six disconnected platforms were getting in the way of both.

Nearly 20 years ago, Rita Pinto had an idea: what if fine art and nail care could share the same space? As an independent art curator in New York, she merged her two passions and founded Vanity Projects. Today, the nail studio is a premier destination for clients who treat their nails like a canvas, specializing in hand-drawn nail art using the finest Japanese and Korean polish brands.
We sat down with Ada, Director of Operations, to hear why Vanity Projects switched to Mangomint and how it has improved their entire operation.
From six platforms to one
Before switching to Mangomint, Vanity Projects was stitching together six separate platforms just to communicate with clients. Their old booking system crashed frequently and couldn’t handle basic needs like campaign emails or client texting. Using multiple, disjointed systems was costing them time and unnecessary stress.
Consolidating everything into Mangomint completely changed that. One platform now handles what six used to struggle with, and Ada’s team gets back hours they used to spend firefighting.
A lot of overhead got cut because Mangomint offers so many features already.
Growing with Mangomint

Vanity Projects has two locations—one in Miami and one in New York—and managing both used to feel daunting for Ada.
With Mangomint's multi-location support, she can quickly flip between locations to view schedules, manage staff, and adjust service menus and pricing. Unified reporting lets her compare the two salons side by side or monitor just one over time.
Ada can also assign service specials to either location or even designate them to specific artists.
The fact that we can tweak services in a way that we weren't able to back then really helps.
What used to feel daunting for Ada is now one of her favorite things about the software.
“Now that we’re using Mangomint, we realized: this is actually pretty awesome.”
Service Customizations: Detailed menus for artists

With service offerings as extensive and nuanced as Vanity Projects’, a confusing menu can be a liability. Artists need to know what a client expects before they arrive so they can prepare accordingly.
Mangomint’s service customizations let Ada and her team capture that detail during the booking process. Does the client need a gel removal? Do they want extensions? Are they booking a multi-hour hand-painted appointment? All of it gets answered upfront, in one booking flow.
"Mangomint gives us the tools to make everything really short and simple."
The result is a leaner, smarter menu that collects every detail. Her artists show up prepared, and her clients leave satisfied.
Group Bookings: Everyone gets what they need

Group bookings used to be very confusing for Vanity Projects. Their previous software couldn’t accurately manage multiple people under one appointment, leaving staff to figure out mid-schedule who was getting what service.
Now, Vanity Projects can accept group bookings online or create one from the calendar. Everyone in the group gets their own client profile, chooses their service and provider, and receives their own appointment updates.
“It's definitely made group bookings a lot easier.”
Software that cares about the details
Vanity Projects was born out of a love for fine art. Their entire business depends on the ability to collect, manage, and execute the intricate details that most platforms can’t handle. Mangomint is built for exactly that. It’s reliable, comprehensive, and your partner in growth.
For Ada, the best thing about Mangomint might be the simplest:
Whether you’re tech savvy or not, they make it really easy.
With Mangomint at her side, Ada can focus on giving clients an experience that’s as polished as the art they leave with.
