Do Something Beautiful Program Terms
Last updated: May 21, 2026
Thanks for your interest in Do Something Beautiful (“DSB” or the “Program”), an initiative from Mangomint, Inc. (“Mangomint,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms govern your participation in the Program, whether as a nominator or a nominee. By submitting a nomination, you agree to these Terms.
1. About the Program
Do Something Beautiful is a discretionary recognition and support program that highlights salons, spas, and wellness professionals making meaningful contributions to their communities. The Program is not a contest, sweepstakes, or promotion. No purchase or Mangomint customer relationship is required to participate.
2. Eligibility
To be considered for the Program, a nominee must:
- Be a salon, spa, barbershop, tattoo studio, or other beauty or wellness business
- Operate as a currently active business with at least one physical location
- Be a business operating in the United States or Canada, with the business legally established under US or Canadian law
- Be operated by individuals 18 years of age or older
Nominators must also be 18 years of age or older. Mangomint employees, contractors, and anyone otherwise involved in administering the Program are welcome to submit nominations but are not eligible to be nominated or to receive Program support themselves. This exclusion also applies to their immediate family members and members of their household.
3. How Nominations Work
Nominations are submitted through the Program nomination form. You may nominate yourself or another eligible business. There is no limit on the number of separate nominations you may submit, but each nominee requires its own form submission.
Submitting a nomination does not guarantee selection, contact from Mangomint, or any form of support.
4. Selection
All selection decisions are made by Mangomint in its sole and absolute discretion. There are no fixed criteria, scoring rubrics, or guaranteed timelines. Mangomint is not obligated to provide reasons for selecting or not selecting any nominee. Mangomint may decline to select any nominee or to support any nomination for any reason or no reason.
5. Form of Support
Support provided through the Program may include, depending on what Mangomint determines is most appropriate for the situation:
- Financial support, such as grants or sponsorships
- Recognition, such as featuring a nominee’s story across Mangomint’s owned channels, partner networks, or other media
- Other forms of in-kind support at Mangomint’s discretion
Before receiving any support, a selected nominee may be required to complete eligibility verification, provide tax documentation, and sign a recipient acceptance agreement and, if applicable, a publicity release. Mangomint may decline, withhold, modify, or withdraw support if a nominee does not complete these requirements or if Mangomint determines that providing support would create legal, compliance, reputational, operational, or other business concerns.
The form, amount, and timing of any support are determined on a case-by-case basis. Past Program activities (including any prior grant amounts referenced publicly) do not establish a guaranteed or expected level of support for current or future selections. Mangomint reserves the right to modify, substitute, or withdraw any offered support at any time prior to delivery.
6. Tax Responsibility
Recipients are solely responsible for any taxes, withholdings, reporting, or other obligations associated with financial support received through the Program. For US recipients, Mangomint may issue an IRS Form 1099 where required by law and may request a completed Form W-9 prior to disbursement. Canadian recipients may be required to provide equivalent tax documentation.
7. Nominator Representations
By submitting a nomination, you represent and confirm that:
- The information you provide is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge
- You have a genuine connection to or knowledge of the nominee
- You are not submitting the nomination for any deceptive, harassing, retaliatory, or commercial purpose
- You are not submitting confidential or proprietary information that you are not authorized to share
If you are nominating someone other than yourself, you further confirm that the nominee is aware you are sharing their story, or that you are comfortable with Mangomint reaching out to them directly using the contact information you provide. Additionally, you understand that selected nominees may be invited to be publicly featured across the channels and uses described in Section 8, and you have not promised the nominee anything inconsistent with these Terms.
Please do not submit Social Security numbers, Social Insurance Numbers, payment card information, medical or health information, information about minors, or other sensitive personal information through the nomination form. Mangomint may delete or disregard nomination materials that include information it determines is unnecessary, inappropriate, or sensitive.
8. Publicity, Likeness, and Media Use
If a nominee is selected for the Program, Mangomint may want to share their story publicly. So that nominees know what they may be invited into before engaging with us, this section describes the full potential scope of media use. Submitting or being the subject of a nomination does not, on its own, authorize Mangomint to publish anything about a nominee — but selected nominees who agree to be featured will be asked to sign a release covering the uses described below.
Potential channels and uses include:
- Mangomint-owned organic channels: website, blog, email newsletters, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and any future Mangomint-owned channels
- Paid media: paid social advertising, paid digital advertising, sponsored content, and other paid placements
- Partner and third-party channels: features distributed through Mangomint’s partner networks (schools, suppliers, associations), earned press, and co-branded content
- Internal and sales use: case studies, sales collateral, investor materials, and conference or event presentations
- Repurposing and editing: cropping, resizing, captioning, translating, and adapting submitted or captured materials for the formats and channels above
Materials covered may include the nominee’s name, business name, likeness, photographs, video, audio, quotes, story details, and any content the nominee provides or that Mangomint captures during the engagement (such as on-site filming or photography).
The release. Before any public feature, Mangomint will ask the selected nominee to sign a separate written release granting Mangomint a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use the materials described above across the channels and purposes described above. The release will allow Mangomint to continue using materials produced during the engagement even after the Program ends or the nominee’s relationship with Mangomint changes.
Opting out. Nominees may decline to be publicly featured at the release stage. Declining publicity does not affect eligibility for financial support, though Mangomint may consider publicity scope when deciding the overall form and level of support offered.
9. Privacy
Information collected through the Program is used solely to evaluate nominations, communicate with nominators and nominees, administer support, and operate the Program. Personal information is handled in accordance with the Mangomint Privacy Policy. Nominators and nominees may request access to or deletion of their personal information by emailing hello@mangomint.com.
10. Program Modification and Termination
Mangomint may modify, suspend, or terminate the Program, or any portion of it, at any time and for any reason, without notice or liability. These Terms may be updated from time to time; the version in effect at the time of your submission governs that submission.
11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Program is offered on an “as-is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mangomint disclaims all warranties, express or implied, relating to the Program. Mangomint’s total liability arising out of or related to the Program is limited to the value of any support actually received by the claimant, if any. Mangomint is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Program or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts in New Castle County, Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
13. Contact
