This article covers the different payment methods available for completing a checkout.

Use the **Card Reader** button to [take payments with a card reader connected directly to your iPhone or iPad](/learn/how-to-take-payments-with-the-card-reader-direct-connection/).

You must have an integrated [payment account](/learn/payment-accounts/) to use the **Self Checkout** payment method.

Use the **Self Checkout** button to allow clients to complete payments directly on their mobile device. Clients will be sent a text message with a link to complete the payment, add a tip, and view their receipt. Learn more about [Self Checkout](/learn/client-self-check-out/).

You must have an integrated [payment account](/learn/payment-accounts/) to use the **Credit Card** payment method.

Use the **Credit Card** button to [take credit card payments](/learn/how-to-charge-cards-on-file/), including cards on file.

Use the **Cash** button to [take cash payments](/learn/calculating-change-for-cash-transactions/). If the [Cash Drawer](/learn/help-articles/payments/cash-drawer/) is enabled, all cash payments (including partial cash payments) will update the cash drawer count.

**Note: **

Mangomint does not trigger cash drawers to physically open.

You can add [custom payment buttons](/learn/advanced-settings-payments-checkout/) as needed. Common buttons include Venmo, PayPal, and other electronic payment apps. Custom payment buttons can also help you track [non-integrated payment options](/learn/how-to-use-non-integrated-payment-processors/).
