# Marketing Credits

Marketing credits are required to send [campaigns](/learn/help-articles/campaigns/) and [automated flows](/learn/help-articles/automated-flows/).

To manage your marketing credits, select **Subscription** from your profile menu to open the Subscription screen. To access the Subscription screen, you must have the [Can manage billing](/learn/adding-a-staff-member/) toggle enabled in your **Staff Member** settings.

On the Subscription screen, you can:

- View your current balance of marketing credits

- Buy marketing credits & manage auto-refill settings

- View how many marketing credits have been used per campaign and automated flow in the last 30 days

You can buy marketing credits in two different ways:

- **Pay as you go: **Buy marketing credits as needed for **1 cent per credit**. This is helpful if you only want to purchase credits as needed, or if you have the Marketing add-on but need extra credits in a certain month. Includes an option to automatically refill your credits at 1 cent per credit if your balance gets too low to send your marketing messages. Credits purchased outside of the Marketing add-on will roll over every billing period.

- **Marketing add-on: **Add a certain number of marketing credits to your Mangomint subscription for **less than 1 cent per credit**. This is helpful if you regularly use at least a certain number of credits per month. You can select **View Usage (Last 30 days) **on the Subscription screen to see how many credits you use per month, which can help you determine how many credits you need. Credits purchased via the Marketing add-on will reset every billing period.

The image below outlines a few of the options available with the Marketing add-on. To see all available options, go to the Subscription screen. The Marketing add-on starts at $30/mo for 3,500 marketing credits.

The table below outlines how many marketing credits are required for different message types.

| Message type                        | Required marketing credits              | Example                                                                                            |
| ----------------------------------- | --------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Email campaign**                  | 1 marketing credit per email            | Send one email campaign to 500 clients for 500 marketing credits.                                  |
| **Text message campaign**           | Starts at 2 marketing credits per text  | Send one text message campaign to 500 clients for 1,000 marketing credits (at 2 credits per text). |
| **Flow email**                      | 5 marketing credits per email           | Send one flow email to 500 clients for 2,500 marketing credits.                                    |
| **Flow text message**               | Starts at 10 marketing credits per text | Send one flow text message to 500 clients for 5,000 marketing credits (at 10 credits per text).    |
| **Flow text message (images only)** | 20 marketing credits per text           | Send one flow text message with images only to 500 clients for 10,000 marketing credits.           |
