# Making Phone Calls

You can make phone calls directly through the Mangomint mobile app.

To make phone calls, you must:

- Have the [Can make and receive calls](/learn/staff-member-permissions/) permission enabled in **Staff Member&#x20;**&#x73;ettings.

- Be logged in to the Mangomint mobile app.

- Be [available for phone calls](/learn/managing-your-phone-call-availability/).

To call a client, open the client’s details and tap **Call**.

You can also tap the phone icon in the client’s appointment details to call the client. If you are using a desktop, you can click the phone icon in the appointment details to send a push notification to all staff members who are [available for phone calls](/learn/managing-your-phone-call-availability/). Tapping the push notification will call the client.

**Note:&#xA0;**

The phone icon will only display in the appointment details to staff members who are [available for phone calls](/learn/managing-your-phone-call-availability/) and have the [Can access clients' contact details](/learn/staff-member-permissions/) permission enabled in **Staff Member** settings.

If you have access to the **Clients** app, you can open the **Clients** app and tap the phone icon to call a number that is not on your client list.

If you do **not** have access to the **Clients** app, you can tap the phone icon in the main navigation to call a number that is not on your client list.

If you miss a call from a phone number that is not on your client list, you can tap the phone number in the **Inbox** app to call the number back.

While on a call, if you navigate away from the call and need to go back to it, tap the phone icon.

When a phone call is made in Mangomint, Admin users and staff members who have the [Can make and receive calls](/learn/staff-member-permissions/) permission enabled can view details about the live call, including the client's name and which staff member they are speaking with.
