# Use Express Booking™

After [setting up Express Booking™](/learn/how-to-set-up-express-booking/), you can use it by [creating an appointment](/learn/create-a-new-appointment/) as you normally would. You only need to enter the client's first name, phone number, and the service they are booking.

Enable the **Use Express Booking™** toggle. If you need to customize the Express Booking™ settings for this specific appointment, such as requiring a credit card or deposit, select the gear icon next to the toggle. Otherwise, your [default Express Booking™ settings](/learn/how-to-set-up-express-booking/) will be used.

Select **Send Text Message**.

The client will receive a text message with a link to complete their booking. If a credit card, pre-payment, or deposit is required to complete the booking, the client will need to provide this information to complete their booking.

The client's appointment will be marked as **Pending completion** until they have completed their booking. You will be able to see how much time the client has left to complete their booking.

Once the client completes their booking, their appointment will be changed from **Pending completion&#x20;**&#x74;o either **Unconfirmed** or **Confirmed**, depending on your [appointment confirmation settings](/learn/automated-messages-appointment-booked/#set-appointments-to-unconfirmed-or-confirmed).

You can also manually change the appointment to **Unconfirmed** or **Confirmed** by selecting **Complete** while the appointment is still in a **Pending completion** status.

If a client does not complete their Express Booking™ request within the time limit, their appointment will be automatically canceled, and they will receive a text message letting them know their appointment was canceled. If you would like to enforce your cancellation policy, you can [follow these steps](/learn/how-can-i-enforce-my-cancellation-policy/).

Express Booking™ requests that are not completed within the time limit or manually changed to **Unconfirmed** or **Confirmed** will be automatically **deleted** from the calendar after 24 hours. Within 24 hours, if you need to resend the Express Booking™ link to the client, select **Resend Text To Complete** from the "..." menu. This will bring the appointment back into the **Pending completion** status and reset the time limit for the client to complete the booking.
