###### Are custom fees shown in online booking? What if a deposit or pre-payment is required?

If you have **any** enabled custom fees, clients will see a disclaimer in online booking that fees may apply at checkout. This allows you to disclose potential fees to clients before they book so there are no hidden fees. The disclaimer will include fee names and fee amounts. Only fees enabled for the selected location in online booking will be shown.

 - **For full pre-payments, **all applicable custom fees will be shown and charged in online booking.

 - **For partial deposits, **only custom fees for the Credit Card payment method will be shown and charged in online booking. At final checkout, additional custom fees can be charged as needed.

 ###### How can I make sure clients know additional custom fees may apply?

If you have **any** enabled custom fees, clients will see a disclaimer in online booking and during [Express Booking™](/learn/help-articles/calendar/express-booking/) that fees may apply at checkout. This allows you to disclose potential fees to clients before they book so there are no hidden fees. The disclaimer will include fee names and fee amounts. Only fees enabled for the selected location in online booking or Express Booking™ will be shown.

During [Client Self Checkout](/learn/client-self-check-out/), clients can also tap **Show Details** to view a detailed breakdown of all line items in the sale and any custom fees that were added.

If you are an Admin user, you can also enable the [Receipt Preview](/learn/advanced-settings-payments-checkout/#receipt-preview) setting. When this setting is enabled, a detailed receipt preview will be shown to clients on your Front Desk Display if the client is paying via the [Front Desk Display](/learn/how-to-take-payments-with-the-front-desk-display/) or with [cash](/learn/calculating-change-for-cash-transactions/). This receipt preview will include all line items in the sale and any custom fees that were added, as shown below.

Waived fees will not appear on the client's receipt or be displayed in [receipt previews](/learn/advanced-settings-payments-checkout/#receipt-preview).
